Joshua Abramson’s Bio
Joshua Abramson began his career in 1987 with nothing but a few tools and some hand-stenciled signs. He has never let present circumstances limit his dreams, however, and 24 years later his company, A. Allbright Painting, is one of California’s premier painting contractors. Abramson’s passion is to constantly strive for innovation and improvement, bettering himself, his company and the painting industry. His success in this has been remarkable, earning national recognition for numerous achievements.
Using revolutionary technology, A. Allbright has developed their own line of environmentally-friendly paints and an exclusive color palette. Additionally, Abramson released his own innovative color presentation which is now sought after across the nation. This presentation allows painting contractors to become color experts, and includes sophisticated color choice software and a selection of 150 colors grouped into designer palettes. Finally, Abramson developed a software program called One Step Estimating. This program quickly became the gold standard among painting contractors, making project estimates more accurate, efficient and consistent.
From his peers within the painting industry, Joshua Abramson has earned many awards and received much recognition. American Painting Contractor Magazine chose him twice for “Who’s Who in the Painting Industry” and Painting & Wallcovering Contractor Magazine wrote a 5-page article about him and his company in 2008. Many of A. Allbright’s projects have won national awards, such as PDCA’s Best Faux Project in 2009 and in 2011 the “Top Job” Award and Picture it Painted Professionally Award. In addition, Abramson led his company to become California’s first painting contractor to receive accreditation from the PDCA.
Beyond his business achievements, Abramson is most proud of his contributions to making the painting industry more community-oriented. A. Allbright supports local families in need with his Paint-It-Forward event, and supports those battling breast cancer with his annual Paint-It-Pink campaign. They also provide work experience and mentoring single parent teens with their Paint-It-S.M.A.R.T. program. Abramson has also aided other contractors across the country to develop similar charity community projects.
Joshua Abramson speaks at several events each year, including the national conventions of the Painting & Decorating Contractors of America and Sherwin Williams Paint stores. He loves to inspire others in the painting industry to set high goals and achieve them.
