Garage Floor Coatings
Someone just asked me this morning if we have floor coatings for garage floors. I was almost stupefied by the question. Of course we have coatings and solutions for garage floors, I thought. How is it they don't know we can paint their garage floor? But in all fairness it's been a while since we discussed the solutions available for garage floors and industrial areas.

There are many products available for floor coating, but we only recommend and install a few systems. Cost, condition of the concrete, durability, traffic and final look play an important role in the right floor coating system for you.
Floor preparation is the primary component to making sure the product last. We diamond grind, scar-fire, diamond polish, steel shot, blastrac and water-jet. Floor coating preparation is generally overlooked.
Selecting the right system for the conditions of the space should be assessed by a professional.
I've found many homeowners dissatisfied by the epoxy installed in their garage, only to learn the product and preparation were poorly chosen. Reasons for failure include: acidic concrete,mold, Salts, Efflourescence, lack of mechanical adhesion, lack of mechanical agitation of the coating during installation, and the list goes on.
